Maison Mieux-Être: Belgian cancer wellbeing & support center

Pioneering thoughtfully designed center in Belgium

In Belgium, the Grand Hôpital de Charleroi took a relocation opportunity to re-establish their integrative
cancer center in a stunning new environment. Named Maison Mieux-Être, or ‘House of Wellness’, the idea
was to create a facility that was able to provide people affected by cancer with evidence-based integrative oncology activities under the full support of the hospital.

Oncia Community helped to bring this center to life through communication and financial support. We provided a local fundraising expert to work hand-in-hand with the team to mobilize key partners and resources. As a result, we were able to contribute to the project by raising substantial funds.

Streamlining projects for sustainable success

The partnership with Maison Mieux-Être is an example of how Oncia Community can help hospitals build
on the experience and knowledge of existing centers. In this case, we embarked on a joint visit to
Maggie’s in London, a UK charity that has an established network of successful integrative cancer care
centers.

By learning from similar initiatives in other regions, Maison Mieux-Être have turned shared progress into
local impact.
